Emergency Project Ukraine
Temporary housing, food services, medical aid, and scholarships for refugees from Ukraine
The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is partnering with U.S. and international organizations to provide food, shelter, medical aid, and scholarships for the refugees from Ukraine. We have employees, aid workers, and volunteers in Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Spain, and other countries. We also facilitate scholarships through our educational partners.
Global Partners:
• Art and Soul of Ukraine (New Jersey)
• Artist Sofika Zielyk in association with Ukrainian National Women's League of America (New York)

We have witnessed mothers in Ukraine who are desperately trying to protect their children from getting injured or killed as the war wages on. More than 12 million people have fled their homes in Ukraine, and more than 5 million refugees (including over 2 million children) have left Ukraine for other countries.

President Dr. Chuck Johnson statement: "Along with those across the U.S. and the world, we have been shocked by the aggression of Russia in its invasion of Ukraine and saddened for the many lives that have been lost or disrupted as a result. This act of war is an affront to the values of a democratic society and the values of Vincennes University, which embrace collaboration, open dialogue and cooperation, and respect for cultural diversity and individual freedom. Therefore, I call upon all members of the VU community to stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine."
Vincennes University is offering 25 full scholarships to college students from Ukraine in all disciplines for a semester at VU.
